Our Story

Huestis Insurance Group is made up of community based insurance agencies located right in your neighborhood. We are local people who understand your insurance needs. We offer you Service, Choice, and Advice with the backing of Canada’s largest insurance companies.

In 1966, after completing a mathematics degree from Acadia University, David Huestis joined his Uncle in a small brokerage that he ran out of his house. After just a year and a half in the business, David joined two brokerages with his own – and has not stopped growing since.

On May 1, 2023, the Huestis Insurance Group was acquired by Western Financial Group, a subsidiary of Wawanesa Mutual. We continue to operate under the name of Huestis Insurance Group with offices throughout New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and PEI.
